The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified.

KI-Forum GmbH takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations (in particular the GDPR) and this privacy policy.

3. Data collection on this website

Server log files

When you access this website, the hosting provider automatically processes information in so-called server log files that your browser transmits (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, volume of data transferred). This data is technically necessary to display the website and to ensure stability and security (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). It is not merged with other data sources.

Cookies and local storage

This website currently uses no tracking, analytics or marketing cookies. No third-party services that evaluate your behaviour are embedded. Fonts and videos are served locally from our own server; no data is transferred to external font or video services.

If you make a selection in the privacy notice, we store that decision exclusively locally in your browser (localStorage) so the notice does not reappear on every visit. This storage is strictly necessary (§ 25 (2) TTDSG) and contains no data that identifies you.

Should consent-based services (e.g. analytics tools) be used in the future, they will only be loaded after your express consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR); this policy will be updated accordingly.

Contact by email

If you contact us by email, your details including the contact data you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions (Art. 6 (1) lit. b or lit. f GDPR). We do not pass this data on without your consent.

4. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address bar changing from “http://” to “https://”.

5. Your rights

As a user, you have the right to receive, upon request and free of charge, information about which personal data has been stored about you. You also have the right to:

  • Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of granted consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
  • Lodging a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR) — for North Rhine-Westphalia: the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information NRW
